Wildflower

I was recently in Tucson visiting the campus and going to a basketball game. My favorite part of Tucson was all the amazing food that surrounded me! I wanted to try everything in my sight. Tucson is a world city of gastronomy, which is fancy words for a city that has great food!

On my first night in Tucson I had to go to Sam Fox’s first Restaurant Concept Wildflower, which has only one location. I was ecstatic go try more of Sam Fox’s great Restaurant Concepts!

They gave us some bread for the table with some olive oil cheese concoction to dip the bread in. It was scrumptious I could not get enough of the dipping sauce!

We started with the crispy calamari (mizuna greens, yuzu emulsion, toasted sesame seed). All the fancy things listed means a bunch of fried seafood and vegetables. This was amazing with all of the spices and sauces. I definitely recommend this delectable dish!

For our main dish my Dad was craving some of their spanish paella (prawn, scallop, clam, mussel, chicken, chorizo, saffron rice). I have never really had paella before and I can’t figure out why because its so delicious. It is full of mexican spices. The rices texture is really great. I also love all the different types of seafood in the paella!

My Dad also wanted to get their chopped greek salad (tomato, cucumber, sweet pepper, olive, red onion, feta, red wine vinaigrette), which was really bright and fresh. If your looking for a lighter option I suggest the greek salad!

The best for last their warm cinnamon doughnuts (vanilla custard, berry marmalade). One word to describe them, amazing! I can’t begin to describe to you how amazing they are. Simply just order them because you will die and go to heaven!

If you travel down to Tucson, Wildflower is a must stop!
